CCD Cleaning Won Two ICCA Awards, including ‘Best Cleaned Premises’ in Ireland

DUBLIN – October 26, 2012 – CCD Cleaning at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD), managed by Cagney Contract Cleaning, won two awards last week at the prestigious Irish Contract Cleaning Association (ICCA) Cleaning Industry Awards, 2012.

Cagney Contract Cleaning won ‘Best Cleaned Premises’ in the Hospitality Buildings category, as well as the top prize of the night - ‘Overall Winner for Best Cleaned Premises’, from the winners of all building categories.

Now in its ninth year, the biennialICCA Cleaning Industry Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the contract cleaning sector, while also providing a benchmark for quality service across the industry. This year, competition for the awards was higher than ever, with a record 88 entries across 12 categories. Cagney Contract Cleaning was a finalist in 7 award categories, also winning ‘Supervisor of the Year’ in the Manufacturing category.

The CCD is committed to ensuring that every event takes place in pristine surroundings and with minimum impact on the environment. In shortlisting the 2012 entries, the ICCA judges visited The CCD where they could see first-hand the effort that goes into delivering first-class service and standards during a busy event. Mike Sweeney, chair of the ICCA judging panel said “This is an award-winning building, cleaned to an exceptional standard, in a difficult category to judge with so many deserving entries. The design of this building presents many challenges to the cleaning team, such as thousands of daily visitors, large areas of glass and stainless steel. Despite these challenges, an extremely high standard is being maintained throughout this building by well-trained staff with excellent management skills.”

The awards are a great recognition of the outstanding standards of service that Cagney Contract Cleaning provides.
