Public Sector Awards 2013 declare The CCD as ‘Outright Winner’ for ‘Best Conference Centre Facilities’

DUBLIN – 27 June 2013 - The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has been named ‘Outright Winner’ for ‘Best Conference Centre Facilities’ in the Public Sector Awards 2013. This brings the total number of awards The CCD has won since opening to 23!

To determine which Irish venue offered the best service and facilities to Public Sector clients, Irish Public Sector Magazine evaluated the venues across 20 different sectors, and The CCD was selected as the ‘Outright Winner’ in this category.

The Public Sector is a key market for The CCD domestically, which regularly hosts a variety of events for organisations including the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, the Public Appointments Service and Dublin Airport Authority. In addition, The CCD has recently welcomed over 7,000 delegates for EU Presidency events including the ERTICO European Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems, eHealth Week, and most recently EuroNanoForum 2013.
