The CCD Wins Best International Venue!
The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) is proud to announce its achievement of winning Best International Venue at the C&IT Awards. The ceremony was held on Friday October 18 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
This award highlights The CCD's dedication to excellence and its commitment to delivering world-class events.The C&IT Awards represent the best of the best and have been known as the ‘one to win’ when it comes to the event sector. All winners are impartially selected through a rigorous judging process by a diverse range of top experts from across the industry. This is the fifth time The CCD has taken home this coveted award, having previously won in 2013, 2015, 2020 and 2021.
Commenting on the win, Stephen Meehan, Chief Executive of The CCD said, "Winning Best International Venue is a remarkable achievement and a testament to our team’s dedication, passion and relentless pursuit of excellence. We are truly honoured to receive this recognition, which inspires us to continuously push the boundaries of innovation and service delivery in the events industry.”
This year, The CCD was shortlisted against two other major international convention centres – Grimaldi Forum Monaco and ADNEC Abu Dhabi.
Since opening in September 2010, The CCD has now won 66 industry awards and hosted over 2,300 events. The venue hosted 131 events in 2023, including 56 international conferences.
Confirmed upcoming events in 2024 include Internet Engineering Task Force 121, IACT2024, An Post Book Awards and The European Cell and Gene Therapy Congress.
