Much of the success of The CCD relies on the personal relationships we’ve built up with client organisers, Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), agencies and suppliers. One such relationship is Kenes PCO, that started ten years ago with the organiser bringing European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) to Dublin in 2015. Since then, The CCD has worked with Kenes on numerous other events, including Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology (AEPC) in 2023 and International Gynaecological Cancer Society (IGCS) later this year. This partnership has helped to attract over 11,500 ICDs having a local economic impact of over €21m.

Several prestigious events return to The CCD year after year, a testament to the incredible work the teams achieve and the venue's exceptional and facilities.
The CCD has been home to many awards ceremonies, including An Post Irish Book Awards, Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards and The Irish Quality Food and Drinks Awards, to name but a few. Providing a fitting backdrop for an evening of recognition and networking, one such event that calls The CCD home is the Business & Finance Awards, an annual event where leadership and corporate success is honoured. The ceremony has been hosted by The CCD every year since opening in 2010*.
The CCD has become synonymous with Dublin Comic Con as the event returns to the dockside venue multiple times over the years.
But it’s not just national events that come back to The CCD. Since opening in 2010, we’ve welcomed over 365,000 international conference delegates (ICDs) through the doors; people who came to Ireland to attend conferences that often chose to return Dublin and The CCD as the ideal location to discuss key topics and connect with people across their chosen field.
Just last week The CCD hosted Kaseya’s flagship customer event, DattoCon Europe, for the second time and they will return again in June 2025, having attracted over 2,700 ICDs across the three events. The Temenos Community Forum, one of the largest global banking technology conferences, has attracted over 3,000 ICDs to Dublin between its 2018 and 2024 conferences.
With Dublin’s reputation as an airline leasing hub, it’s no surprise that Airfinance held multiple events at The CCD over the last 14 years, including Euromoney Conferences 2015 and International Airfinance Conference from 2016 to 2023* The International Air Transport Association (IATA), trade association for the world's airlines, represents some 330 airlines over 80% of total air traffic. They have held three large international events at The CCD since 2015, with the renowned Slots Conference taking place in 2023.

International events, particularly association conferences, usually need to rotate through three international hubs – EMEA, Australasia and the US. This means that, while some organisers may want to return year on year, they can’t. However, we are excited to now see some of those events returning to The CCD. The European Society of Coloproctology brought their conference to Dublin in 2015 and in 2022. Our Sales team are working on many events that are now rotating back around to EMEA and are energised at the prospect of welcoming these events back to The CCD.
